Seamless Air Mesh Upper

The upper of the Wave Rider 28 is made using a seamless air mesh material which is ultra-lightweight and allows for a high level of breathability and comfort with a sleek design and natural fit whilst helping to reduce weight. The upper works to allow air to flow in and out of the shoe, keeping the feet feeling cool even during intense activity. The materials allow vapour from sweat to escape, which will keep your feet feeling dry and fresh. An anatomical tongue has been carefully designed to provide a comfortable and snug fit whilst reducing rubbing. Completing the upper is a traditional lacing system that anchors the shoe to the foot securely for increased stability and control.

Mizuno Enerzy Nxt Midsole

Featuring Mizuno’s latest bio-based technology Mizuno Enerzy Nxt, the midsole provides an extremely soft and bouncy feeling. Mizuno Enerzy Nxt is the next-generation material and is ultra soft, responsive and assists in the next level of performance. This technology is lighter than previous Enerzy midsoles and found in the heel wedge to give an incredible energy return, while still maintaining softness and light weight. Mizuno Enerzy foam resides in the top part of the midsole to further offer amazing cushioning and energy return. A Mizuno Wave plate provides a snappier and more speed-oriented transition from heel to toe. The Mizuno Wave plate helps to store energy during flexion and create greater propulsion during toe-off and lastly, a removable sockliner has been added for premium comfort and cushioning.

X10 Outsole

The outsole of the Wave Rider 28 has been made using X-10, a durable Carbon rubber which allows for longer wear in high impact areas and supplements traction at the heel. This helps to lessen the impact placed on the knees and joints, allowing for a more comfortable ride as well as optimising gait efficiency. The outsole also ensures maximum grip and traction for a firm, assured footing so you can run with confidence and push yourself to the limit, time and time again.
