Designed for individuals approaching the world of hiking for the first time. With an Oiled Nubuck Idro and mesh upper, the shoes are comfortable straight out of the box, whilst a GORE-TEX membrane guarantees complete waterproofing.

GORE-TEX Upper

Ensuring feet are breathable and comfortable during hiking, the Moraine Mid Pro GORE-TEX Shoes utilise an Oiled Nubuck Idro upper alongside a Mesh fabric to provide excellent durability. The durable uppers will protect feet from knocks and bumps, keeping the shoes long-lasting and reliable, whilst having water-repellent properties to keep feet dry from light rain and moisture. Additionally, the shoes utilise mesh to keep your feet feeling cool and fresh, even during the more intense periods of your walking adventures. Combined, these materials also provide you with moisture-wicking comfort, to keep feet dry from sweat and moisture during high-impact journeys. Featuring a GORE-TEX membrane, the shoes have excellent waterproofing to ensure that feet will remain dry and comfortable during poor and changing weather conditions, including rainy weather. The membrane is also extremely breathable to keep your feet cool and comfortable. The mid-height design of the shoes ensures that feet are secure, whilst protecting ankles from irritation and chafing, and prevents dirt and debris from entering the shoes. The shoes feature a traditional lace-up to provide a locked-in fit, preventing in-shoe slipping. Finally, to ensure you remain safe and found in cases of emergency the shoes feature RECCO technology. This uses a RECCO detector used by professional rescue teams using a harmonic radar that enables rapid directional pinpointing of a person’s precise location.

EVA Midsole

Using an EVA midsole platform, the Moraine Mid Pro GORE-TEX Shoes will ensure lightweight and responsive cushioning. This is soft and durable and works to spare your joints, preventing injury and discomfort when striking down on changing surfaces. The firm compound will absorb shocks instantly, which will help reduce damage to the sole, and will return energy efficiently, adding more of a spring to your step. The shoes include a medial shank that optimises foot stability, helping you to stay in control whilst tackling uneven ground. The midsole uses grooves to provide added flexibility for a more natural feel as you walk.

PRESA HK-04 Outsole

Developed for an agile and versatile approach when trekking and fast hiking, the outsole utilises a PRESA HK-04 outsole. Made to provide excellent durability and grip for a range of hiking terrains, the shoes provide you with a great all-round hiking companion. This is achieved due to the unique sole design from Scarpa, and their use of propulsion in the midfoot area, the braking area in the heel and a maximised level of grip on the toes, and finally a stability area in the midfoot, arch and heel. These provide you with the perfect level of grip, traction and outstanding stability, to keep you focused on the trail ahead. Adorning the outsole are multi-directional lugs that provide you with the necessary grip on various terrains and conditions, digging deep into mud and slippery surfaces for complete stability.
